A Horse Named Cloppity

Three legs. One mission. No apologies.
Hear the case

Rod rode round
on a three-legged horse
that he called
Cloppity.

Hoped to find
the missing clop
on next door’s
property.

At times it made him
sick as a sock,
twas all so
choppity.

Said Farmer Fred,
“That’s my Three Ears.
I’ll see you in
court.”

Rod gave a nod.
“I’ll see you and raise you,
but this will be
hard fought.”

Judge Fast was quickly
hot on the case.
“Yes, two ears on middle leg
and one on back face.

“But this here nose
is out of place.
What the hell’s it doing
on a horse’s front face?

“Everyone knows where
a horse’s noses goes.
You didn’t
mention that.

“Case dismissed
for wasting court time.
Next!
A five footed rat.”

Case dismissed

Three legs, and never the ones you’d expect. More Cloppity lands on Substack.
